Commercial Director, Ed Abis, promoted to General Manager following continued success

September 10, 2020

We’re pleased to announce the promotion of Ed Abis as the new Never. No General Manager, following five successful years as the company’s Commercial Director.

Having been an integral part of Never.no’s recent growth and with a proven track-record of developing close client relationships with global broadcasters, content providers and brands, Ed’s new focus will add considerable value across the company. He will continue to support business growth with further autonomy on a day to day basis, driving revenues as well as supporting PR, product development and sales.

“This is a proud moment for me after spending the last five years working closely with CEO Scott Davies and the team. I’m excited to get started and consolidate our strategy into 2021, following a very disrupted, yet innovative year. Over the past six months, we’ve continued to collaborate with leading broadcasters, digital content providers and many brands and sporting institutions,” said Ed Abis, General Manager of Never.no. “In my new role I’ll be focusing on the growth of the company across markets, as we look forward to developing our content management platform, Bee-On, and supporting our clients in delivering captivating, rich content,” concludes Abis.

Ed brings years’ of experience to his new GM role, having previously worked for rights holders and brands such as Nike, Manchester United, ITV & Perform/DAZN, giving him a multichannel view of content and product strategies related to how connected audiences can be integrated into brand experiences. As part of the reshuffle, CEO Scott Davies’ responsibilities concerning the day-to-day running of the company will change in order to make best use of Ed’s sales, strategy and commercial expertise.

“Ed’s passion extends outside of his current remit, so it makes total sense to put him in a position where he can confidently drive areas of the business autonomously. Ed and myself have the same vision and enthusiasm, so I feel we are in sync as to where the business needs to go. I have total confidence that he will play a key role in driving continued growth over the months and years to come,” said Scott Davies, CEO of Never.no.

Never.no’s cloud-based content management platform, Bee-On, has helped sports, live shows and events connect with fans and audiences during a time of huge disruption and new remote workflows. The team has worked closely with and supported ITV Studios with the Martin Lewis Money Show, powered conversations for English Premier League and global football clubs following the return of football, and delivered dynamic broadcast ads for Wickes, Sky and many other brands.
